Campus Vegetarian and Vegan Dining

These campus restaurants, cafés, pubs and food markets offer healthy, vegetarian and some vegan options.

University Centers

Blue Pepper Asian Cuisine
Healthy Asian menu includes vegan Tom Kha, Vegan Salad (with soy vinaigrette), Vegan Yum Woon Sen, Vegetarian Noodle Soup, summer rolls, spring rolls and pot stickers.

Bombay Coast
Authentic Indian menu offers vegetarian options like eggplant cutlets, butter mushrooms, crispy aloo pattie and vegetarian samosas and kabobs.

Burger King
This fast food menu includes a Morning Star Veggie Burger and a Garden side salad.

Healthy food offerings include some vegetarian options like Frank’s Spinach Salad, Balsamic and Roasted Veggie Salad and mixed berry salad. It also serves lettuce wraps and vegetarian sandwiches.

Jamba Juice
Menu includes a variety of smoothies, freshly squeezed juices, and energy bowls made from fruits, vegetables and greens.

Lemongrass Farm Fresh Plates
Wraps, salads, grilled plates and sandwiches all have a tofu option that includes assorted greens, zucchini or grilled vegetables.

Panda Express
Chinese menu includes eggplant tofu, veggie spring rolls, Chow Mein, fried rice, mixed vegetables, white and brown steamed rice.

Mexican food menu offers a California bowl with grilled veggies, Burrito grilled gourmet taco with veggies, grilled gourmet taco with veggies, bean burritos, chips and quesadillas.

Santorini Greek Island Grill
Greek food menu offers a vegetarian Greek Salad, hummus, veggie pita sandwich and Greek yogurt.

Seed + Sprout
Menu offers vegetarian bowls or you can create your own custom bowl with any base, vegetables, protein (baked Sriracha Tofu and baked miso Ginger Tofu). Additional vegetarian options include Papas Loco (rosemary potatoes, black beans, sliced jalapeño, green onion, cilantro and yogurt) and a granola parfait

Japanese and sushi menu offers edamame, vegetable tempura and Yakisoba vegetable noodles.

Choose a veggie pattie or build your own salad.

Taco Villa
Mexican food menu offers bean burritos, fries, chips and cheddar and Monterey jack quesadillas.

Tapioca Express
Serves Matcha Green Tea Waffles, fried string beans and Crispy tofu.

The Sunshine Market
Offers extensive vegan and vegetarian food options. including snacks, drinks, sandwiches, etc.

Offers dairy-free yogurt options for vegans.

Zanzibar at The Loft
Vegetarian options include Kale Salad, Mediterranean Veggie Sandwich, Vegetarian Panini, Mac and Cheese, Vegetarian chili and select daily soups.

Vegan options include Tater Barrels, sweet potato fries, black rice Napa Cabbage Salad, Brussel Sprouts, and Baja tacos. Vegetarian options include the Garden Burger, Chipotle Black Bean Burger, Cream of Mushroom soup, chocolate, strawberry and vanilla milkshakes and roasted beets.

Sixty-Four North
Revelle College
Offers a vegan Coconut Cardamom Panna Cotta Plate and three vegetarian options: Grain and Garden Bowl, Seasonal House Salad and Garlic Mashed Potatoes.

Muir College
Serves only vegan cuisine.

Other Places

Bella Vista Social Club and Caffé 
A hybrid of French and Italian cuisine, the menu includes bowls, sandwiches, soups, pasta and salads.

Home Plate
Menu options include Veggie Burger, Spicy Avocado Wrap, Teriyaki Tofu Panini and Grilled Veggie Panini.

The Food Co-op
This vegan and vegetarian only student-run food store features a fresh, organic salad bar, bagels, bulk trail mix, soups and a variety of other foods and drinks.

The Hare Krishna Temple
Located in front of the Food Co-op, serves lunch only on Wednesdays from 11:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. There Indian style food includes Jamaica Water, lemonade, rice and vegetables, Halvah (Indian Pastry), Spinach Masala and Minestrone Stew.
